Youth Service Project

Youth Services Project works with youth by cultivating relationships through safe, supportive, and creative programming to maximize their strengths and navigate their lives.

They have programs that operate within a social justice framework. While celebrating the uniqueness of the individual, our programs cultivate social awareness using trauma informed and restorative practices.   Emphasis is placed upon sustaining a safe environment for youth to explore their personal narratives, unique talents and value as community members and global citizens.

The Avondale Coalition

In 2012, the Avondale Coalition was formed when community leaders in Avondale decided to come together to find solutions for the alarming rates of substance use among area youth. Our work is based on the fundamental principal that the most effective method for solving local problems is to equip community members with the skills and resources they need to be agents of change.

In 2015, we achieved federal funding through a Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant. We are now entering our second year of funding and have plans for some significant projects in the upcoming year.
